Private 529 Plans

Students who have a 529 College Savings Plan from a financial institution should contact their institution to request funds to be withdrawn. Depending on your financial institution, the funds may be sent to you or directly to Texas A&M University. Many 529 College Savings Plans now have a digital distribution option, which saves time and improves transparency with real-time payment tracking. When requesting a withdrawal from your plan, see if a digital disbursement is available. If you have questions or need assistance making a digital disbursement from your 529 plan, please contact your 529 Plan provider.

View a list of financial institutions that offer digital disbursements below.

Suppose you do not see your 529 provider listed. In that case, we encourage you to contact your financial institution about adding this option, as it will significantly expedite the receipt of payment to Texas A&M University and the posting of the payment to your student’s account.
